This quiet village is nestled on the banks
on the Snake River just 3 miles south of Clarkston. To my awareness
there are no overnight facilities. This is a popular last minute stop before going into Hells Canyon, to stock up on gas, groceries
or a beer at one of the local pubs. There are a couple cafes here
also. The next facilities are located 31 miles up river at the end of
the road. The canyons abound with prehistoric petroglyphs such as at
Buffalo Eddy. Old mining remnants and mines are prolific. Asotin has
boat launching and gas for water skiers and well as serious steelhead
and sturgeon fisherman.

During summer and winter months, colorful
paragliders can be seen flying from the Asotin Hill, overlooking the city.
Tandem flights and paraglider instructions available through US
AirBorne, as Asotin based aviation business.
