Lostine is the last community before venturing into the Hells Canyon Recreational area. Groceries, gas and automotive services are available. I ventured through on my way to hat point, the highest point on the breaks of Hells Canyon. It’s beautiful country, with a look all it’s own. I found rock markers thought to be thousands of years old and in one morning I spotted a deer, elk, bear, and bobcat.
